Benefits Coverage

Many insurance providers do cover some or all of the costs associated with nutrition therapy offered by a Registered Dietitian. Those that don’t explicitly cover this service are likely to consider this an acceptable expense to a Health Spending Account.

The UPEI Student Benefits plan and the Holland College Student Benefits plan provide some coverage for Registered Dietitian Services as does the UPEI Faculty Benefits plan.

If your insurance provider does include dietitian services as a benefit, I may be able to direct bill them for the service at the time of your appointment (this is company-dependent).

If finances are a concern for you right now, I am willing to consider sliding scale rates for services on a case-by-case basis.
